• DYI is a Breeze: There is always the temptation to try and fix things yourself. Watch 10 YouTube videos, make notes, and get started. Sadly, many people know little about the idiosyncrasies of plumbing. Fix-it projects can create even more problems. 

• Frozen Pipes: Surprise, pipes can freeze even when the heat is on. If you have pipes in an uninsulated area, it’s time to correct the problem. 

• Little Leaks: No Problem. That is absolutely NOT true. Have a dripping faucet? Getting it fixed by professional plumbers avoids water loss and increasing damage. DYI is not the way to go. Did you know such leaks can add up to hundreds of gallons of wasted water that shows up on your bill?

• Save Water with Toilet Tank Bricks: The idea of putting a brick in your toilet tank has been floating around for many years. • Toilet Troubles: Toilets were not designed for garbage. Don’t toss those paper towels, baby wipes, etc. down your toilet. Take them to the trash to avoid clogs and blockages. Pouring grease down the drain or toilet is also a no-no. In the kitchen, hot water helps somewhat, but the fat will solidify further down the system.
